Wooden Umbrella Swift

Original Swedish made wooden Swift from Glimakra.

A swift is used to hold a skein of yarn to make winding the yarn easier. Commonly used in conjunction with a Ball Winder or you can mount them horizontally which can make for easier un-winding. Also useful for measuring off warp when weaving.

They are made from birch and are a natural finish, not lacquered. They hold skeins up to 1.8m/72" around.
